Desktop Wallpapers for your Monitor Screen(s)
$20

All shown options are no additional charge. If you want custom work other than that shown, contact me and describe it for a price.
NOTE: My experience with changing Screen Backgrounds are with PC's, Not Mac's. If you are comfortable with changing Mac Screen Backgrounds, just let me know what format (.bmp, .jpg, etc) and the size you need if it is not specified in the order form.

This < URL link > will describe how to change your Windows Desktop Wallpaper in Windows10. If you are using any other Operating System, simply Search for those instructions.

We can create the basic map background on any size monitor. You will need to specify the Height x Width of your screen resolution (Right click on your screen and choose DISPAY SETTINGS). If you wish a custom background for multiple monitors, you will need to contact me by email for directions, or call me at (919) 309-9569 during reasonable hours EST.

You will be given an opportunity to specify where the map is placed along the right edge, Lower, Center, Upper corners. This is so you can imagine where your screen icons will be placed. If you have a LOT of icons, I can make the map smaller - just specify how much of the width is the map going to be.. Options 4~6 show about a 66% map - this can be any size, however the smaller you go, the less readable the city names will be.

Most computer systems are set up with a 1-row taskbar along the bottom. Some (as shown in the large sample below) are set up with a 2-row taskbar. You will specify how many rows you have. The map is raised by that amount so it is not hidden below your taskbars.

You can also specify the background color (silhouettes are always black). Slectable colors are Black, Blue and Teal, but you can specify ANY color. For best color match, please specify a HEX color (ie: #664422), because my version of Light Blue may be different from yours.

The cities shown are SJPdP, Roncesvalles, Pamplona, Estella, Logrono, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Burgos, Carrion de los Condes, Sahagun, Leon, Astorga, Ponferrada, O Cebreiro, Sarria, Palas de Rei, Santiago de Compostela. If you wish other cities instead of these, that will be a custom charge discussed by email.

At the bottom are some silhouettes and decorations with a Camino flavor and Header Text at the top. You have the option to change lines 4 & 5 of the Header Text.

Hover over thumbnails for samples. We offer different options to make your bg unique, and allow for where you want your icons.

STEP 1: CHOOSE THE RESOLUTION OF YOUR MONITOR

NOTE: This basic form is intended for using one primary monitor on your system. If you have multiple monitors, email me to discus your needs/sizes/orientation.
On a Windows Operating System, right click on a black space on your screen and select DISPLAY SETTINGS / RESOLUTION

If your resolution is not provided, Select OTHER and let me know in COMMENTS

STEP 2: OPTIONAL: WHAT TEXT WOULD YOU LIKE ON THE FOURTH and FIFTH HEADER LINE?
There is no charge for this, but you may also leave it blank.

NOTE: the more text you ask for, the smaller the text may have to be to fit!

Top Line: El CAMINO
2nd Line: De SANTIAGO De COMPOSTELA
3rd Line: CAMINO FRANCES "The Way of Saint James"
4th Line:
5th Line:

* Leave this field BLANK if you do not want this free option. Many people use their names and dates here - completely customizable

STEP 3: ORIENTATION OF MAP ON RIGHT EDGE

Please refer to the samples - The default is Lower Left (with room for your taskbar). The purpose of this placement choice is to accommodate where you prefer to put your desktop icons.

Lower Right (Default)

Center Right

Upper Right

STEP 4: RELATIVE SIZE OF MAP ON SCREEN

Please refer to the samples - The default is about 85% of the screen from the right. The purpose of this sizing choice is to accommodate a large number of desktop icons. Keep in mind the smaller it is, the harder to read the city names.

85% (Default)   75% or 3/4ths    66% or 2/3rds
STEP 3: BACKGROUND COLOR

Please refer to the samples - The default is Black. If you have a specific color other than these options, include it in COMMENTS. I prefer a HEX color for accuracy.

Black (Default, unless specified in Comments)

Blue

Teal

STEP 6: HOW MANY LINES IN YOUR TASKBAR

The taskbar is the grey bar at the (usually) bottom of your screen. The default for most people is one line. You have to specifically drag the top of your taskbar up to make it 2 or 3 lines high. I like 2 lines because it then shows Time, Day and Date on the right corner. The number of lines dictate the base height of the map from the bottom.

1 (Default)   2    3
STEP 7: Comments

Ask any further questions here. If you want a more unique custom wallpaper we could also add all of YOUR villages to the map, like we do for our wall maps. Depending on your screen resolution and overall size, more villages/cities than shown on this default background may make reading the names more difficult because we would have to make them smaller to accommodate the additional villages. This option would add an additional $20 for the graphics time involved. We will discuss it with you via emails.

STEP 8: YOUR INFORMATION - if this is to be sent somewhere else, describe it in Comments or follow-up emails.

After I receive your request, I will look it over and contact you to confirm details, and send a Paypal Payment request (or you can send Venmo to jps@WebEFX.net). Once payment is received, I will create the graphic image and send an email with it attached.

And don't forget the Coffee Mug! These are ordered separately HERE. They are admitedly pricey, but that is because it is a one-of-a-kind unique mug customized for your journey. Your choice of Header Text colors and bottom row decoration. This mug will not have your villages, being way too small to read names, but displays major cities along the route.
